Morning Tonic

And no, we aren't talking Gin.


Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is quite the powerhouse of an ingredient used in this robust concoction, offering a generous amount of health benefits ranging from digestive support to improving blood sugar levels. Being used for thousands of years, this vinegar (which means "sour wine" in French) continues to hold many uses.


Starting your morning off by kick-starting your digestive track and supporting the body's natural detoxification system, you are helping your hormones! Besides practices such as seed cycling and cycle syncing, taking small steps such as consuming this easy morning drink can support your hormones.


Mixing just one TBSP of apple cider vinegar with the following ingredients is one morning practice I highly recommend implementing on the daily. Trust me, your system will thank you.


Let's start out with the basics... from there you can add or subtract ingredients as you please.


ACV + Lemon Tonic: · 1 TBSP apple cider vinegar ·  8 oz. filtered water ·  Juice of 1/2 lemon If the taste is a bit too bitter for your liking, feel free to sweeten with some organic liquid stevia. Blend well. My go-to apple cider vinegar brand is Braggs (Organic + "With the Mother") pictured below:

Here are some variations to spruce. it. up.

Add a dash of cayenne pepper

Add ½ teaspoon of turmeric (for the added anti-inflammatory properties)

Use coconut water rather than filtered water (for added sweetness)

One tbsp of raw honey

½ tsp ground cinnamon


Other health benefits of ACV include: >> kills various forms of harmful bacteria >> fights diabetes >> assists in weight loss >> lowers cholesterol *I also recommend drinking this PRIOR to coffee, as coffee significantly dehydrates the system. Generally, the body is undergoing a massive detox until about 10am.
